The Norfolk Dementia Care Academy is a multi-million pound facility, developed to help with the care and treatment of those suffering with severe dementia in the Eastern region. However, whilst the facility does offer beds and care for some patients, it has been predominantly conceived as an educational and ideological base from which to educate and train those who care for patients at home or in residences.

It is this side of the new facility that is integral to the ethos of the project but alas, is intangible to most. So, working with the trust’s marketing agency, Cobalt ID, Lambda Films produced a video that explains the aims and ambitions of the facility while simultaneously highlighting its quality construction and assistive technologies.

Breakwater IT are an established IT firm offering top quality IT support, consultancy and software development. As part of their expansion plans, the tech company have acquired access to low rate leased lines and mobile rates and have thrown down the gauntlet to existing telecoms suppliers. In order to announce their new plans, Breakwater IT commissioned Lambda Films to produce a short, snappy animation to debut at this years Norfolk Chamber of Commerce B2B event.

The short, motion graphics project is typographically driven, simply and plainly delivering the aims and objectives of the new telecoms division. As part of the aggressive expansion and vast range of services the business now offers, the company felt that a video would be the best way to showcase this; particularly given that the company exhibits at, and has operations and offices all over the world.

We’ll be working closely with the Fendercare business development team over 2012; for which our first project was to start shooting for their new BlastGreen service at a demo in Aberdeen. This will make up just one small part of the finished product, which is set to be one of our most ambitious projects to date.

In order to showcase these, we were commissioned to shoot a handful of videos to promote the product and others to aid in corporate communications, pitches and sales meetings. These were all completed in the studio, but we have a handful more dates around the UK to continue to provide some content to use.

Here’s just a little taster of both, ahead of the full website launch.

We worked with the team over two days, in which we were blessed with unusually sunny and warm weather for the season, which was utterly ideal given the subject matter(!), and in spite of a tight turn-around time we were able to get the project delivered.

The Lambda team were commissioned to produce a DVD guide for school groups who were set to visit a show at the Theatre. For first time visitors, the huge auditorium and rush of customers can seem daunting for the younger visitors, so the video was designed to give them an early look at the different areas of the Theatre as well as the etiquette and the behaviour expected of them. The video addressed rules such as flash photography, the consumption of sweets and how to understand your ticket and take your seat.

The video will be supplied on DVD to schools and classes to view before the day of the visit.

2011 was an absolute blinder for us, and we’re all enthusiastically looking forward to what 2012 brings. It’s already started with some great new projects coming in, which will join the mountain of jobs we’re already working on in production or post.

Organising one of their biggest-ever conferences, titled Unlocking Growth, the event was headlined by Dr. Vince Cable MP, who was joined on stage by other prominent figures in Norfolk business; such as Davina Tanner, General Manager of Chapelfield Shopping Centre; David McNally, CEO of Norwich City FC; Andy Wood, CEO of Adnams and Johnny Hustler, Managing Director of Archant. Both the President and Director of Policy from the British Chamber of Commerce also took the stage at OPEN earlier this month.

Lambda Films were on-hand to film the conference in it’s entirety, and shot a series of videos with each of the speakers in the green room, which will be released over the coming months by the Chamber.

One of our favourite projects this month has been working with Holt-based private school, Gresham’s who wanted their video message committed to video to send out to adoring parents and guardians. The children sing ‘For Him All Stars Have Shone’ by Bob Chilcot in the school Chapel.
