Fine Art Mouldings – Time

Fine Art Mouldings are responsible for the preservation, and production of classical decoration. They required a high-quality, cinematic promotional film befitting their brand and quality of work.

To restore, or to create… each approach questions the notion of time. We capitalised on this concept, to inform the creative direction of our promotional film. We articulated this through the voiceover; scripted to explore the notion of time in the context or heritage and restoration.

We applied our trademark cinematic approach to lighting, cinematography and composition for the Fine Art Mouldings film. This required the usually-bright studio to be blacked out, and subtle, directional light to be applied to the scenes. In this way, we could add a cinematic mystery to the regular day to work work of the Fine Art Moulding team. We could also create studio-style beauty shots of finished plasterwork, and macro shots of fine detail.
