This is UEA

At a time when more Universities are fighting over a smaller pool of potential students, the brief for This is UEA was to produce a short, and emotional University video for the University of East Anglia.

The film aimed to inspire potential applicants outside of UEA’s regular catchment area. This is where familiarity with the University was much lower.

The production of This is UEA was a masterclass in project management. Firstly, the project had a tight turnaround. Furthermore, we filmed during the holidays when students were away from campus! Our Norwich production crew were able to scour, and source, available students from within the City and pull together the huge cast, crew and locations required to pull the project off. Our extensive experience producing video content for Universities, was a natural strength.

The University video was filmed and edited over a four day period. Multiple edits were produced for Online, TV, Cinema and Social Media platforms. Stills from the film were used across both digital and print media. To date, the film is the most effective piece of video advertising in UEA’s history.  On YouTube alone it achieved just over 300k completed views with a very respectable 87% view-through-rate. The video, and the campaign, significantly contributed to UEA’s 2018 recruitment results. A shorter edit was also commissioned for TV & cinema advertising.

This is UEA went on to win the 2019 Circle of Excellence Award at the annual CASE Awards (The Council for Advancement and Support of Education).
