A little bit of time | Norfolk County Council

Lambda Films created a series of short, honest films to raise awareness of fostering in the Norfolk County. These short films were based on real-life experiences of Norfolk carers that demonstrate the high and lows of fostering.

A Little Bit Of Time explores how foster carers can help families with disabled children; providing the fostering service for short breaks and introducing the children to new experiences.

Our narrative for A little bit of time was based on the true story of a local carer. To produce a similar tale, the production required input from a variety of sources. This included the kind permission of Macmillan Children’s Books, for the rights to use The Gruffalo within the production. The Gruffalo himself was played by Owen Guerin (a regular Gruffalo performer on stage) and Norwich Theatre Royal generously donating their stage, their time and talents to the film.

Other films in the series focused on fostering teenagers, siblings and younger children. The resulting films for Norfolk County Council were launched online, and via local TV advertising.
