Launching UN Road Safety Week
Animating Safer Roads
June 17, 2021
UN Road Safety Week kicked off this year in style, with an animation from Lambda Films, commissioned by FIA Foundation.
We’re always grateful for the opportunity to produce video and animation for charities and NGOs in pursuit of a good cause. Needless to say, we were thrilled to work with FIA Foundation, an organisation with a global mission to improve the world’s roads for a safer, cleaner, greener planet.
FIA Foundation wanted to paint a two-sided picture of the world as it is, and how it could be. To this end, our animation worked with both a monochrome and rainbow colour palette to demonstrate, and differentiate, the two environments. The animation also had to highlight the four key steps being undertaken to make the world a safer place.
The attendees at the UN Road safety Week event, had to understand the global issue, and how it was being tackled.
Streets for Life is the resulting animation; a rousing call to action for 4000 attendees at the UN Road Safety Week event. It was viewed over 10,000 times within 48 hours of its launch and continues to populate various social channels and websites.
Frames from the animation were also used to advertise the cause of the pages of The Guardian.
